Aha! Roadmaps | Integrate with your calendar application

You have a lot to monitor. Aside from the constant stream of delivery dates, deadlines, meetings, and events that fill your calendar, planning your week with an eye on your key deliverables can be a challenge. With this integration, you can sync to-dos and key dates from Aha! Roadmaps to your personal calendar so you can see when work is happening and plan your day.

Integrate Google calendar with Aha!

Aha! Roadmaps provides a one-way integration from Aha! Roadmaps to any calendar application that can subscribe to an iCal (.ics) calendar, including Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook. This allows you to sync your personal to-dos and/or saved calendar reports from Aha! Roadmaps with your favorite calendar application.

Integration details

  • This integration is one-way, from Aha! Roadmaps to your calendar application. Any updates made in your calendar application will not be made to Aha! Roadmaps records.

  • There are two places in Aha! Roadmaps where you can sync records with your calendar app — the to-dos section of the My work page and saved calendar reports.

  • Records are presented in your calendar application as all-day events that contain the title of the record in the name field, a link to the record in the location field, and a message that says, “This event was created by Aha!” in the description field.

  • This support article mentions calendar integrations with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook; however, any other calendar system that supports importing a calendar from an iCal (.ics) link will work.

  • Each calendar system retrieves updates at a different time interval. Some (like Apple Calendar) are configurable.

Security notices

  • This integration can be controlled at an account level. The setting for this integration is located at Settings ⚙️ Account Security and single sign-on Sync to calendar control. If you disable this setting, all active calendar links will permanently stop functioning. Note: The setting is disabled by default for all accounts created prior to June 11, 2019. For accounts added after June 11, 2019, the setting is enabled by default.

  • Calendar URL links are tied to Aha! Roadmaps user accounts. If you disable or delete a user, their calendar links from Aha! Roadmaps will stop working. If you re-enable a disabled user, the user will need to follow the steps below to generate a new URL and add it to their calendar.

  • Aha! Roadmaps users can review and revoke access to their own calendar links at Settings ⚙️ Personal External calendars. To revoke access to one of your own calendar links, hover over the calendar and click the Revoke button that appears on the row.

  • Aha! Roadmaps account administrators can review and revoke calendar links created by any user in the account at Settings ⚙️ Account External sharing. To revoke access to a calendar link, click on the Sync to calendar tab, hover over the calendar, and click the Revoke.
