Whiteboards in Aha! software are perfect for mapping out key processes — from user flows to complex cross-team handoffs. Choose from a broad library of shapes to represent each step, activity, or decision point. Then link objects together with connectors and apply a consistent color scheme to make your diagrams easy to follow.
With today's update, you now have five new shapes to further enhance your diagrams:
Document: Represent a document or report generated during the process
Subroutine: Highlight a process that is defined elsewhere
Preparation: Indicate a step that prepares for a later action
Off-page connector: Show that the process continues on another diagram
Manual input: Convey where a person needs to provide input (like filling in a form or entering data)
You can also use the powerful AI assistant in Aha! Whiteboards to jump-start your diagramming. Then share your whiteboard with teammates to refine the flow together.
More shape options mean you can show exactly what happens at each step.

How to get started
From a whiteboard, open the Shapes menu in the left-hand toolbar.
Locate the Basic shapes section at the top.
Select a diagram shape to add it to the whiteboard.
Click one of the small blue dots outside the shape's border to quickly add the next shape.
Use the Shape icon in the toolbar to easily swap one shape for another.
