Introducing a new AI agent in Aha! software for deep product research

by Claire George

Elle is the AI assistant built into Aha! software to help you move product work forward faster. It is grounded in product development and your plans, helps you evaluate what to build next, generates prototypes, and turns rough ideas into clear plans and well-written content. Now, we have introduced a new agent designed for deeper research.

The new Research agent in Elle lets you run deep market, product, and customer research.

Create a comprehensive analysis in minutes

Elle already includes three powerful agents for different types of product work: Universal, Writing, and Prototype. You can also create your own custom agents to automate multistep processes. The new Research agent extends Elle's capabilities even further by enabling deep analysis across multiple sources.

To get started, select the Research agent and describe what you want to know in plain language. Elle rapidly combs through Aha! records, documents, and trusted web sources to analyze relevant information. Close the chat and tackle other work while the research is underway. You will get a notification when the results are ready.

Once complete, review a structured summary of the results — including risks, open questions, and a list of sources. Convert the output into a note or add it directly to a record description to share with your team.

Here are a few ways you can use the new Research agent:

  • Synthesize the voice of the customer: Scan community groups, forums, and idea records to identify common requests, themes, and emerging needs.

  • Perform competitive analysis: Summarize how competitor positioning and capabilities compare to your upcoming product plans, including where you lead or lag.

  • Evaluate a potential product initiative: Gather market context, customer interest, and industry perspectives to assess the opportunity and highlight potential risks.

Turn your complex product questions into clear, research-backed insights you can quickly review and apply.

The Research agent is available to all Aha! software customers as part of Elle, our built-in AI assistant. To use it, an administrator must enable AI features in your account. When enabled, you will see Elle in the top-right corner of your navigation and in any text editor toolbar. (Note that using Elle deducts from your plan's shared pool of AI credits.)
