Enable single sign-on for your product knowledge base
We recently launched Aha! Knowledge to help product teams centralize product information for customers and colleagues. Many of you told us that you are eager to publish documentation such as usage guides and technical specs. But you need a streamlined way to control access — without asking users to remember a new password.
You can now set up single sign-on (SSO) for your knowledge base in Aha! software for quick and secure access to product information.
You could already publish public or password-protected knowledge bases with Aha! Knowledge. Now, you can also use SSO. Set up an identity provider — such as Google Cloud Identity, Microsoft Entra ID (formerly known as Microsoft Azure Active Directory), or Okta. Or configure JSON Web Token (JWT) authentication so your customers can navigate directly from your product into your knowledge base.
Better still, create different SSO configurations for each of your knowledge bases to give the right people access to the right product information. You can also share SSO configurations between your knowledge bases and ideas portals — creating an even more seamless login experience.
This update is available as part of the Aha! Knowledge Advanced plan. (Let us know if you are interested in upgrading your Aha! Roadmaps or Aha! Ideas account.)
Here is a closer look at what you can do:
Build a product knowledge base
Imagine you are creating a central hub to give sales and support teams the information they need to drive product success. You quickly create a knowledge base — adding documents, selecting a publishing workflow, and choosing a theme color. Once you finish editing the content, the next step is enabling SSO to make the information super easy for the team to access.
Use our AI assistant to efficiently draft product content and include diagrams via built-in whiteboards.
Set up an SSO identity provider
If you already have the right SSO configuration set up in your Aha! account, you can skip this step. This is because you can use the same one for multiple knowledge bases and ideas portals. Otherwise, navigate to the Knowledge section in your account settings and select Single sign-on to create a new one, filling in the required details. (You must be an Aha! account administrator with customization permissions to do this.)
Streamline knowledge base access
The final step is to update your knowledge base settings. Select SSO in the Authentication dropdown menu and pick the relevant identity provider. Now, you are ready to share the link with your customer-facing teams. They will love how easy it is to log in and access the resources they need to be successful — no new passwords required.
Give people seamless, secure access to your knowledge base — so they can quickly get the answers they need.
Try Aha! Knowledge Advanced today so that you can publish knowledge bases that give customers and the team the information they need to succeed. Enable SSO to streamline knowledge base access — all while protecting sensitive materials. If you are interested in learning more, we would love to chat.
