Aha! Acquires Roadmap.com and Launches Community for Product Managers
We want to help product managers build better products and be happy doing it. We just launched a new site to make that easier. We are excited to announce that we have acquired Roadmap.com and have launched the world’s first forum focused exclusively on product management.
It was clear that a community dedicated to product and company building was meant for a premium domain. We were fortunate to be able to acquire the most important one-word domain for product managers. How we did it and what we paid is a story for another blog.
Anyway, we hope you will join us. Register now to grab one of the first 10,000 vanity membership numbers at Roadmap.com
We have already attracted many well-known product experts who are busy contributing on the site. Roadmap.com was built based on what many of you have asked us for — a place where you can ask questions about best practices and share what you know.
Of course, everyone is familiar with Quora and LinkedIn groups. And you might ask yourself why the world needs another community? Yes, there are already resources out there that include areas for product management. But these websites are built with many other audiences in mind too. And we know from experience that it takes time and energy to dig through them to find trusted advice.
Product managers deserve a home — at Roadmap.com they finally have one. [Tweet this]
Roadmap.com will be a thriving community of innovators and product builders submitting questions, providing answers, and sharing the best product content. Ready to get involved? There are several ways you can participate:
Learn This is, first and foremost, a place for learning and connection. You can easily search, ask questions, and learn about product management topics ranging from strategy, roadmaps, collaboration, and even tools.
Looking for something that is not listed? Simply ask a new question.
Contribute Roadmap.com is a place for experts to contribute and share their knowledge with other product managers and innovators. It is easy to find questions, provide answers, and be recognized as a product management thought leader who is interested in helping others be their best.
Roadmap.com was built for both aspiring product managers and experienced leaders.
Engage Like any conversation, engagement is key. Promote the answers you find helpful by “liking” them and add your comments to answers posted by others. This is how you can connect with others through thoughtful dialogue.
The highest-voted content will surface to the top of each question page as well as the home page.
We have been humbled by the response during the early access period to the site. People love the structure and design. And there are already compelling questions, detailed answers, and lively discussions happening right now.
So, check it out and let us know what you think. This is the beginning of something great for product builders everywhere. We only wish we had it when we were starting our product management careers.
If you like the idea of a dedicated forum for product managers, share the good news with a few friends.
And if you do not, please send it to a few people who you really do not like.
