Aha! Launches Visual Product Roadmaps for Jira

by Brian de Haaff

Update: We recently launched our most powerful Jira integration ever. Learn more about it here.

We just announced the JIRA integration that you have always wanted. Aha! now provides an add-on for Atlassian JIRA OnDemand customers who want to create brilliant product strategy and visual roadmaps. Now, traditional hosted JIRA customers and JIRA OnDemand customers can both take advantage of everything Aha! has to offer for product management teams.

We launched today a new way for Atlassian JIRA OnDemand customers to integrate Aha! with JIRA to keep product management and engineering teams in sync. Do your planning in Aha! and then move your initiatives, features, requirements, attachments, tags, and estimates into JIRA with no hassle. As work gets down in JIRA, updates flow back to Aha! to keep you in-the-know.

Atlassian highlighted our new add-on and integration in their launch activities for Connect — the framework for integrations with JIRA OnDemand:

Powerful integrations with products like Aha! are a key ingredient to the success of thousands of software development teams using JIRA. This powerful tool for product managers demonstrates the viability of Atlassian Connect and exemplifies the many add-ons available in the Atlassian Marketplace to help teams get more from JIRA. — Nick Wade, Director of Atlassian Marketplace

Creating great software is invigorating. Product managers and engineers should be the happiest people on earth. But most companies never benefit from their love of innovation, because they are beaten down by soft strategies, weak tools and squishy communication. The new Aha! integration with JIRA solves this problem by making it easy to set a winning product plan, share visual roadmaps, articulate features and requirements, and build what matters.

If you have MVPd yourself to an unsatisfactory product, it might be time for an Aha! moment. If you still use Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT, and napkins to share ideas and lead product; you know there must be a better way. Aha! is for you and our new integration with JIRA makes it the obvious choice for product development teams everywhere.

The integration with JIRA is based on Atlassian’s powerful new Connect framework, which makes it easy for partners to build add-ons that integrate directly into the JIRA OnDemand user interface. Atlassian Connect goes beyond standard APIs and allows Aha! and JIRA users to take advantage of a bi-directional integration between the two applications. It also provides multiple UI integration points, so users can send issues from JIRA to Aha! or map releases and features from Aha! to epics and stories in JIRA. The whole time, both systems stay up-to-date as status changes are made.

Aha! is proud to be one of the first 15 companies to launch an add-on for the new Atlassian Connect framework and to be highlighted in the launch. The new Aha! add-on and integration is available immediately.

Aha! turns product managers into heroes. We enable product teams to set their vision based on their market and customer insights. It then encourages teams to map key strategic goals and initiatives to releases and features to ensure that business objectives will be met. Aha! also combines multiple innovative technologies to capture and visualize all of the ideas about what features should be added to the product. This ensures product development team members can work together to prioritize key features in their releases and sprints.

Availability The Aha! add-on is immediately available for Atlassian JIRA OnDemand customers to install from the Atlassian Marketplace. Customers without an Aha! account can sign up for a free trial of Aha! to get started with the integration. You need both a JIRA and an Aha! account to use this integration.
