LinkedIn Asked Us to Tell You How We Became One of the Top 25 Startups of 2018 — So, Ask Me Anything
Aha! was named a LinkedIn “top startup” for 2018 last week. We came in at #23 on the list, joining some big-name companies like Lyft and Coinbase. It was an honor to be included — especially since Aha! is not your typical startup. For example, we have no venture capital, no salespeople, and no offices. We are also highly profitable.
As you can probably imagine, our approach leads to questions. (Lots of questions.) So, I was happy when the team at LinkedIn asked me to do an “ask me anything” event as part of Aha! being on the top startups list. I thought this would be a good time to provide answers to serious questions that people have about our philosophy and success.
You can send me your questions today on LinkedIn, and I will post as many answers as I can on Thursday, 9/13 and Friday, 9/14.

So, what should we talk about? Maybe you are an aspiring entrepreneur and want to know how to bootstrap a business and still grow exceptionally fast. Maybe you want to know how to balance your strategic vision with customer feedback while building visual product roadmaps. Or maybe you read my bestselling book Lovability and are looking for more insights on building a completely distributed team.
You can certainly ask me anything you want. But since I only have a few days to answer, I thought it would be best to offer some guidance.
Here are the topics I write and speak about most frequently:
Bootstrapping a business
Building lovable products and companies
Leading a fully remote team
Maintaining a strong culture as you scale
Best practices for product management
Enterprise transformations
Big picture, down in the details, whatever is on your mind — I am ready to answer your questions.
I can promise you that the answers will be unique because the Aha! story is unlike any you know. We are helping to change how companies innovate and build products that customer love. And we put people and profit first. I look forward to sharing what we have learned on this great adventure.
