Aha! Develop | Product overview
Aha! Develop is the agile tool that links strategy to delivery — for technical leaders who want to ensure product and engineering work well together.
Transcript: Hi, this is Claire from Aha! You want to deliver new functionality that customers will actually use. To do this well, there are three keys. You need to understand what product thinks is a priority and why, align on scope and effort, and move work efficiently through your development process, which is why I am so excited to introduce you to Aha! Develop. It enables you to link strategy to development and deliver value faster. The first step is to set up your engineering teams. Add as many teams as you need and select the right agile methodology for each one.
Your options include Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, or Hybrid. Here, we created a dedicated space for our frontend development team for a fictitious application called Fredwin Cycling. Quickly tailor your workflow, statuses, and terminology to match how each team gets work done. (music) Everything you need is built right in, providing a simple yet flexible user experience.
Easily import work from other tools, like Jira, Azure DevOps, and Rally, so the team can get going right away. (music) Many teams struggle with how to balance new product functionality against other technical work. Aha! Develop solves this challenge by enabling you to capture everything in one place.
Connect Aha! Develop with Aha! Roadmaps to see all product work assigned to the team ranked in priority order. Open up each feature to understand how it ties to strategic goals and initiatives, a description of what needs to be built, and the detailed user requirements.
Parking lots are ideal for capturing all of the technical work that needs to get done, like performance improvements and bug fixes. Create epics and break them down into features and requirements. (bright upbeat music) And use importer extensions to bring in support tickets and issues from other systems. From there, estimate each work item in story points or time and identify any technical dependencies.
(music) Then, review all of your product and engineering work side by side, so you can establish a single prioritized backlog. Our frontend team uses a Scrum approach, so let's head over to the sprint planning page. Create upcoming sprints, setting the goal and duration for each one. Then drag and drop features directly from the prioritized backlog.
Notice how the team's available and planned capacity updates in real time, helping you balance the workload. This ensures that everyone can commit to the sprint with confidence. If you need to coordinate delivery across multiple teams, establish an Agile Release Train and add program increments. This enables you to set the same sprint cadence across teams and manage the PI backlog.
You can also monitor progress across the entire program increment in one view. Now, it is time to get to work. Use a Kanban-style workflow board to track what is happening in real-time. Organize the board the way you want, adding as many columns as you need.
Set WIP limits to improve team efficiency and use horizontal swim lanes to group work by class of service, team member, or type. You can also customize the cards to highlight the most important information. As work gets underway, instantly spot any bottlenecks and blockers to keep things moving. (music) Powerful Agile reports are on hand to help you analyze team performance.
Sprint burn down and velocity charts are perfect for Scrum teams, while Kanban teams love reporting on throughput and lead and cycle time. Use the cumulative flow diagram to optimize your delivery flow. Showcase the team's accomplishments with the product value delivered report. And conduct retrospectives to identify opportunities for improvement.
Use Aha! Develop with Aha! Roadmaps to create a unified product development environment. You can collaborate on initial and detailed estimates to set realistic delivery dates.
Auto-sync statuses, so product has real time visibility into engineering progress. And include Agile reports and dashboards to share the team's progress with the entire organization. This empowers product and engineering to stay in sync every step of the way. (music) This is just the start of what is possible with Aha!
